It’s essentially like wearing a comfy, effortlessly chic blanket and perfect for when the chill starts to roll in. If you’re snapping up a chunky cape, pair it with trousers or skinny jeans. Then, add boots to balance out the proportions. Your littles will surely approve of the squishy cuddles they steal once you wrap yourself in one.

Bold enough to criss-cross two runway styles? Then give this trendy faux fur zebra stripes coat from Mango a go. Or opt for this fine beige high-neck crop top from Zara – it’s perfectly versatile and oozes oomph. 50 shades of beige

Fashion naivety of equating beige with boring will no longer be forgiven because autumn/winter 2019 is all set to bring forth a tsunami of tan. Mamas, this is the time to experiment with fabric(think leather, faux fur, feathers, sherpa, knit, pashmina) but look out for shades of tan, khaki, cappuccino, ecru, toffee and beige.

The heavy logo-driven, maximalism kind of attitude of the last few seasons hit a saturation point this year. So it might come as a surprise that the current fashion must-have is the understated beige. And, it’s kinda bland to stop yourself at just one statement sand piece, ’tis the season to be awash in layers of head-to-toe neutrals or nothing! You could team your caramel coloured coat with an off-white shirt, a beige skirt and neutral snake print boots. Throw in a tan muffler for some contrast. Chunky gold accessories are always a great addition to take the tonal look from cute to chic.

In fact, the trend is such a hit with fashion editors and fans that the hashtag #beigeaesthetichas more than 98,000 posts on Instagram. We think it would be totally snazzy to invest in this contemporary cut dress from Forever New, pair it with just about any beige lapel coat, or a tan waterfall jacket, even a neat single breast blazer or a luxe faux fur scarf.

Millennial purple and pistachio green are here

Move over millennial pink, colour trends are all over the map in 2019. With so many choices, everyone will find something they love.

The truly autumnal shade which dominated the New York Fashion scene this year is purple. Named the Pantone colour of 2018, there’s no escaping the lilacs, mauves, lavenders, aubergines and the ultra violets hues. From Brie Larsonto Cardi B and Kylie Jenner, Hollywood has given this shade a test run.

Pistachio green is fashion’s chosen new colour. It has mesmerised the ramps and quickly being adapted by the high street stylescene. And why not, this fresh, cool tone is easy on the eyes and looks good in clothing as well as accessories.

We approve of this textured pistachio green scarf from Mango. Club the green high waist pants at Zara with any white ribbed tee and ankle-length boots for an edgy look. Pint-sized bags are a big trend at the moment, ASOS has a glossy, croc print in pistachio green which feels fresh for autumn.

Wild animal prints

Get your animal instincts roaring because boots with a touch of the wild are officially here. Full-throttle ferocity marked the international ramps with the zebra and cow print having their sweet moment of glory.

You needn’t choose between snakeskin, leopard spots, bovine or zebra for the most intense look. Just embrace the chaos, don’t worry about looking a bit like a zoo. That’s kind of the current trend at the moment. So take a walk on the wild side with these zebra print, kitten heeled boots at Zara.
